MEBS Donation Wishlist

This is a general list of supplies that we need:

FOOD

High-quality organic pellets (Harrison’s, TOP’s, Roudybush, etc.)
Unsalted nuts in the shell (walnuts, almonds, pistachios, pecans, etc.)
Freeze-dried or dehydrated veggies and fruits
Nut butters (unsalted, no added sugar, no xylitol)
Fresh produce (apples, carrots, leafy greens, peppers, berries, etc.)

ENRICHMENT

Toys aren’t just “fun” — they’re essential for mental health and preventing boredom.

Foraging toys (shreddable boxes, cardboard, palm leaf toys, vine balls)
Wooden toys made from untreated pine or bird-safe hardwoods
Bird-safe perches or swings
Puzzle/interactive feeders

CAGES & STANDS

Large parrot cages (new or gently used, no rust, stainless steel preferred)
Playstands or tree stands (new or like new condition)
Natural wood perches (manzanita, java, dragonwood) – good for foot health
Stainless steel food and water bowls

CLEANING & CARE SUPPLIES

Sanctuary life is messy! These items help us keep everything fresh and safe:

Paper towels
Unscented baby wipes
White vinegar and baking soda (safe cleaning)
Bird-safe disinfectants (Chlorhexidine or F10)
HEPA air purifiers and replacement filters
Laundry detergent (free & clear, no fragrance)

HEALTH & SAFETY

We keep a close eye on every bird’s well-being.

Bird first aid supplies (styptic powder, vet wrap, syringes for feeding)
Travel carriers (small, medium, and large)
Scales for weighing parrots
Humidifiers (for dry air seasons)

MISC

The little things that keep us running smoothly:

Towels, blankets, and sheets (new or gently used)
Stainless steel kitchen bowls (for chop prep)
Freezer bags and food storage containers
Gift cards to local grocery stores for produce runs

Retail Gift Cards are always appreciated: Home Depot, Lowe's, Wal-Mart, Kroger, Amazon.com, etc. for maintenance, building, supplies and grocery runs.

Kroger

If you shop at Kroger, eligible purchases you make with your Shopper’s Card will contribute to MEBS at no extra cost to you via their Community Rewards program. Kroger donates to enrolled organizations based on members’ spending.

How to add MEBS as your preferred charity:

Go to Kroger’s Community Rewards page and sign in to your Kroger digital account (or create one).
In your account, open Community Rewards → Link your Card to an organization.
Search for "Magnolia Exotic Bird Sanctuary Inc”. If a number is requested, use EIN 27-4734382.
Select the organization and Save.
